The Pot on the left says "I've cooked the biggest turkeys". The pot on the right says "But I've cooked twice as many as you". The little one on the floor says "I've cooked cabbage rolls for twenty."

We all know sometimes objects "speak" to us. This was a moment yesterday when my friend Jackie put these lovely roaster pans in her booth at Town Peddler. It is sad to let things like this go but we all know we can't keep everything.

We hope that Stella and Jo's roasters go to someone who has a big old farmhouse where they can be admired, or even used.

Signing off now, going to realestate.com to see if any farmhouses are for sale. Happy Friday!peggyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06824597131148093565noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5330470707329813696.post-3861972148687398472020-07-05T09:27:00.002-04:002020-07-05T09:27:16.719-04:00Growing tomatoes...

I never have a ripe tomato by fourth of July, I know that is a competition among some gardeners.
Instead I am playing with mine, diligently hunting out suckers so I can train my tomatoes up a string, a method recommended by Karen, The Art of Doing Stuff.

If you have read her posts you will know she is a hoot, so even if you can't do stuff that she writes about, (or have no desire to) you will enjoy her posts.

Another gardener I miss so much is Dad's Tomato Garden. Some of you will remember him, I know Ma will. I always think of him when I look at my tomatoes. Happy Sunday and let me know if you have a ripe tomato.peggyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06824597131148093565noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5330470707329813696.post-35357328592618698172020-05-14T18:26:00.001-04:002020-05-14T18:26:23.179-04:00PJ's new sewing space...

I found this message all printed out which was what I was gonna say anyway about my day yesterday. I hope you can go out to the garden today, it is a little rainy here. Can't go wrong to place your faith in what God sends us although sometimes it is hard to understand. I hope you are well, enjoy my daffodils.
This is PJ in her "piggy" face mask, made through my window. She and Jeff were dropping off tomato basil soup and more supplies for making face masks. I have had some more requests
(for masks not soup, I ain't sharing my soup). Love you all!
Yesterday I made these for some mask-less friends. After I got the bugs worked out, they were pretty easy and at least they would remind you not to touch your face. You can get lots of patterns on pinterest and after all, it was something to do besides TV.
These are Chestnut Junction patterns. Valentine's here and now to St. Pat's.
Hoping you are enjoying your Thursday. Snowing in Michigan, just a tad though. Things are going well, a squirrel is eating my wild birds food and there is a robin visiting my crabapple tree. Just these last few days, is he confused about spring? Or has he been here all winter? I wonder.peggyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06824597131148093565noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5330470707329813696.post-76059932170800591502020-02-03T09:07:00.003-05:002020-02-03T09:07:53.519-05:00Book report

Remember when we were in school and we had to do book reports? I would like to see some of those now!

This post is for Kynda, who says I don't post enough. I finished American Dirt yesterday, while keeping an eye on the football game. I really liked the writing but it is a harrowing tale of a perilous journey, lots of controversy if you like that sort of thing.

Hill Women was picked for me by my librarian, Teresa. She watches for Kentucky books for me, this one is a memoir I think, but it is going to be good.

Thanks to all for hanging in there.
And these two are John and Aiden. They don't get together very often but when they do, it's a blast. While they play video games, Jackie and I straighten up our booths and bring in new stuff to sell. Then we usually go to Buddy's pizza but this week the kids selected Wendy's.
