Our flags have been blooming here too! I guess it must be an old fashioned name but we always called them that too. I hope your day was a good one there. It was hot but still it was sunny here and that was a good thing!
so pretty--all ours are gone except for one lonely little late-bloomer. the driveway guys are here and the washing machine is out. . . but the babies are coming!
Mammy always called these "flags". Maybe it was because they bloomed at Memorial Day. I never thought to ask.
I have hear them called 'flags' as well! I had TWO blooms this year from bulbs my niece gave me. Yours are beautiful!!
