Craft show stuff
These are my ellie-phants for the craft show. I made them from a Sweet Meadows Farm pattern out of some nice gray flannel and used some old hankies on some of them.
And this one is my lady angel of color and her baby. I used some old crochet for trim and made the dress from a curtain valance. She doesn't show up too well in the picture but her hair is so neat. I will have to make a post and show you how I did it. I was just packing up the last of my things and thought I would share them with you all. I hope to get some pictures at the craft show of what's new and different, and if I have any hot sellers I will let you know for sure!!

Late bloomer
My neighbor has these beautiful flowers in his front yard. I don't know the name of them but they have been blooming since mid-summer. We have had two frosts now.
I will have a craft show this Saturday at Lindberg School in Dearborn (just the one) and looks like we will have colder weather which is good. When it is warm like last Saturday a lot of people choose to rake leaves. The leaves are a little late falling this year, still lots to come down so I don't think anyone will get left out.
Jeff and PJ have two additions to the family. The new kids are sticking together.

My Stu-dee-ooo, ha ha
This is it, warts and all, 1/2 of a small bedroom. I was just in Joann fabrics and you know how you have to wait in line forever and forever? I don't really mind because I get to look at all the expensive magazines they have in the "waiting forever" line. I picked up a copy of Where Women Create and although I am so happy that the real artists have those wonderful places I am sure not too many of us would make the next issue. Would you have the nerve to show your work space? I dare ya!
This corner has an apron I made from a pillowcase and a turkey that didn't sell, a doll quilt and a topsy turvey doll that my mom made. The cabinet and blackboard came from the Dirt Diva booth at Town Peddler. My SIL Jeff looked at the cabinet and said "seriously???" The kleenex box was from the resale place, even tho some say you wouldn't want to buy upholstered furniture there.
My old Kenmore is about 30 years old. The little cubbie I got from the Dirt Divas also and the thread holder from a fellow Lindbergh crafter years and years ago.
PJ redid this cabinet in chalk paint. It came from my neighbor Gail. The box on the top is full of letters written by my mother and grandmother and friends from long ago.
The jars are full of buttons, the egg boxes are vintage (ya can't get them anymore). Jackie gave me them. There's a mop and broom and some bears I made that didn't sell. The picture is of some 40's ladies "talking sewing". Well that's about it....are you inspired yet????

Zinnias
In June I said with a sigh, guess I won't have any zinnias this year. They were just messin' with me.
Hello friends, hope everything is going well with you.

Prims by the Water Giveaway.
Don't miss out on Janice's Boo Giveaway. Go to primsbythewater.blogspot.com to enter.
Janice wants you to post a Halloween memory (or something Halloween) in the comments to enter. I couldn't think of anything because I have seen too many Halloweens to remember so I posted a corny poem instead.
So make me and Janice happy and enter today.

Tomorrow Night Poldark....
Have you watched Poldark on PBS? Tomorrow night at 8 our time. Beautiful scenery ummm, and a good story.
Pray for Tonya Turvold, she and her friends are in a terrible flood. She has designed beautiful patterns for us. She has had a really bad year. You might know her from Back Porch Pickins.

Something from the woods...
I love sticks and rocks and anything from the woods. My son, Ray is out there a lot hunting and cutting wood, looking for mushrooms. He is lucky to have his very own woods. He surprised me with this piece of bark saying I thought you could make a craft.
This week I filled it with some yarrow that I had dried and some solidago fireworks that I have tried to preserve with glycerin. I like it and even more I like it that he thought I would!! And today is his birthday, so Happy Birthday Ray.
