Sassy Art Dolls

These dolls are made by an artist at the Town Peddler; she is just down the aisle from my booth. I did not pose them for this picture, I just passed by and started to laugh.

The haughty ladies with the cigarettes are being given the what-for by the doll in the blue dress. I thought it would give you a laugh.

We are anxiously waiting for Kynda's plane tomorrow, we will be so glad to see her. She couldn't get an Amtrak ticket so she is flying and won't have as much time to read. But we will have more time together. We will be going to the Trenton Quilt and Garden Walk on Saturday and lots of sitting on PJ's porch this weekend. I will have pictures for next week. We may have strawberry shortcake too.

Town Peddler is also having their outdoor mart with vendors. It was really good last year, if you are in the area, stop by.

Felting, Crocheting and Yarn Hair...At Town Peddler

I like these felted water bottle holders, I don't know how to felt but I love things that are felted.
Stella's stash of afghans, she had a birthday last month, 98 years young!
Valentine Annie with yarn hair, by Jackie, she is my competition and my friend.

I hope you have all the chocolate you want today. I had my share over the weekend. Happy Valentine's day to all you.

Town Peddler on Friday...

People were shopping on Friday ...saw a friend and fellow dealer and we took a tour of some of the aisles while we talked. Julie arranged these cute little pin cushion shoes and I took this to show you all.

My picture of Carolyn in her snazzy vintage sweater (from the antiques side) went amiss so I will have to take another. Just want you to know you can find neat things to wear and decorate yourself too.

It's snowing to "beat the band" (a Mammy expression). Did you ever hear that?
Happy Saturday everyone.

Town Peddler

In my book, a close second after Elvis......
A new booth at Town Peddler. I'm going to like it. Bought some things for my dolls here.
It wasn't that long ago, really....
I liked this little (actually quite large) Christmas shed all lit up. Is that an Elvis record?
Happy shopping everyone!

Thanks for asking, OneBigHappy......

about the Town Peddler which I am always rattling about.

Located at 35323 Plymouth Road (between Wayne and Levan) in Livonia, it is a collection of shops in a huge store with antiques, collectibles and crafts, and has a newly added art gallery. It has been voted #1 for 3 years in a row by Channel 4's Vote 4 The Best.

I have made many friends in my years there, staff, customers, and vendors have become like family to me.

There is a website, www.townpeddler.com AND a very special story about Coach Greg Mellon (husband of Booth Agent, Lee Mellon). For sure, everyone is so proud of this member of the TP family (and Lee). His determination to recover and excel makes him a hero.

Be sure to read it. It's http://www.clickondetroit.com/video/22124805/index.html

And be sure to visit us, tell them that Peggy sent ya! Happy Friday.

More from Decor Hunt

I'm posting some recent pictures from Town Peddler Mall, Decor Hunt's booth. I look forward to seeing what she has new.

Myself is a little puny, with a sinus problem, so haven't been exactly turning out the dolls. If you visit Town Peddler, I thought you might like these photos, and if you live far away maybe you will be inspired by her flair.

No matter how I feel, I miss saying hello. I like to have something new to show ya, so today it's Denise's new stuff. Happy Thursday everyone.

New at the Town Peddler Mall

A new vendor with some penny-rug mats I like.

Pretty sassy roosters. I don't know the booth number, but if you are facing my booth, it's just to the right on an end cap. Happy Saturday!

Monday at Town Peddler

Chocolate bunnies!!!
This is Tonia's booth at the Town Peddler, she was rearranging it this morning and adding NEW spring items. I think it looks really good.

I love her little sign, letting us know her things are handmade.

Visit her soon for country lights, bowl fillers, boxes, rugs and more, a nice variety. Ask at the desk for her booth number. She's just around the corner from my booth.

See ya tomorrow, it's going to be a good week. Kynda has a birthday, The Farm is opening and Barb has a craft sh0w at Lutheran West. Yea!! Spring is coming!!

Town Peddler on Wednesday

Town Peddler has two sections, one for antiques plus some adjacent rooms and one for crafts. There is an area with art work , some pretty good coffee and great cookies. This is a good place to sit a spell.

I always talk to customers who come by. This morning a couple were there for their first time, the husband says "this place is really big". Somehow, the husbands always think that.

I made the tags this week to have something little for the tree and for something different. The bears said they liked it there, but thought they should have their own tag.

If you have a craft and antique mall in your area, I would love to hear about it. I hope you have a good Wednesday.

Town Peddler Tuesday

This is a classy booth at Town Peddler, just down the aisle from me. It's called Liz Hill Collection. She has designer beauty products and more and she's so nice. Check it out.

Well, it's not exactly like the pattern, but I like her anyway. My dolls don't always look like what the designer intended. She's a brand new pattern by The Olde Country Cupboard.

Noel

Noel is going to the Town Peddler Mall to be with her friends. Her body is an old spring and her arms are grapevine wreath. She is the only one of her kind. Enjoy Monday, everyone.
