Reading..

1880, she grew up privileged, now with nowhere to turn.  An interesting and cruel time in the diamond mines of South Africa.  I liked it even though it got a little romancy.  I like books in the late 1800's, that's when my grandmother was born.
Still reading this one, all her books are good although not as good as Nineteen Minutes.

A cold rain has kept me out of the garden (well, some).  Happy Tuesday.

Monsella Tulips

This is my cluster of Monsella Tulips.  You know how we always suspect the nurseries of photoshopping  their pictures in the catalogs?  The one below is from White Flower Farm's website.
Mine are every bit as pretty with no touch up.  These tulips bloom early.  They are one of the peony tulips, which I like, and they seem to last longer than most of the others.  This one also lasts longer than the May Wonder peonies, maybe because they bloom earlier and it is cool for them.

I hope your tulips are beautiful at your house.  Love from Michigan.

Walker

I found this little picture somewhere online, and  for those of you who know Walker personally, you will see it could very well be his baby picture.

He and I have been putting in lots of garden time lately!  Love to all!
