Sweet Annie at The Farm

Two things that I cannot grow are nice lawn grass (who cares, it just has to be cut) and Sweet Annie.  Every year I buy seeds and plant it.  It never comes up .

These lush plants were growing when we visited The Farm this month.  I understand that it has to be harvested   precisely at a certain stage.  I don't think I will ever have to worry about that.

Have a fun Saturday everyone.

Ann and Eva go to the Quilt Show

These two girls are ready to go.  If you are local, check out the poster on my sidebar, or go here to visit their facebook page.
I planted several kale plants this year.  They are small but pretty and new to me.  I think they should be larger but you can't judge  because of the weird summer  weather we have had.  Maybe someone will have some "growing kale" tips for me.  Happy Monday, it's such a beautiful day.

P.S. I think I really like the new blogger interface.  Just took some patience, which I have little of.

More pictures from The Farm

Bathroom at The Farm
A little sign that I liked.....

And the kitchen sink....
Don't worry, I am not going to post twice a day.  I am just trying to learn something here.

Fall at...THE FARM

 Dried flowers ---take your pick.......

My Pear Annie, or Annie with Pear, likes being at the Farm......

Is this new?  I really like it..... this might be a good idea for my strawberry patch.

I had one more photo but I am struggling with the NEW blogger and am waiting for a session with my blog-posting coach (Kynda).  I hope everyone has a beautiful FIRST DAY OF FALL.

Pumpkin pictures....

These are from the Apple Barn in Chatham, Illinois.  I wish I had a place to grow every one of these.

my little garden is thoroughly confused.  Things that should have grown in July are now coming on strong.  How's your garden?  Any pumpkins?  Many pumpkins?

We only pose for treats....

G-dog, Lilla, Rosie and Joy get instructions from the photographer for their group picture. (Look at Kynda and Mark's beautiful yard too.)

Rosie and Joy were the visitors from Michigan. G-Dog and Lilla were host and hostess.

Saturday hello...

This is just to say hello this morning, it doesn't seem right somehow, if I don't. I am behind reading your posts but I will catch up soon.

Today is a sad day, my DIL Lisa's mom, Vera, has passed away . The visitation is today and I am making some chocolate crinkle cookies to take for the family. The recipe came to me from when I first began blogging, that friend doesn't blog any longer but I still think of her. Vera and I spent lots of time together watching Charlie's hockey. She was his biggest fan.

Everyone have a nice weekend. See you next week sometime.
