Pumpkin Girl

This is an extra post because I am having a big issue with my scanner. I finally succeeded in getting this one.

About her, she was made quite some time ago and I wonder if she has a good home and someone who loves her still.

Sunday small things

those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars, forever and ever.......Daniel 12:3

My great-gb, John Michael is walking since last Monday (more like strutting).

I have a new cell phone with a pink cover , since the demise of my old one which drowned in a big pot of turnip greens. I lost all my numbers, so everyone has to call me for now.

Wishing you all a good week, Dearborn First Methodist Church Quilt Show is this coming Friday and Saturday. I have a table, hope to see a lot of friends. I will have some moons to sell, and some Halloween stuff. Can't wait for the salad luncheon we will have. More info later.

My Library

This is the title of this "room".

My book "room" aka closet. I like books much more than clothes. Some of my favorite toys are kept here also, with recipe books, scrapbooks and my handy-dandy pencil sharpener.

Last day of summer?

I will be boring you with pictures of the Heavenly Blues, after all, I deserve to because I have waited so long for the blooms.

These I guess should be in some jars or on some nice brown toast with butter, but I left them, trying to decide if I should do one more recipe.

The newspaper says summer is over, but I didn't say that. I don't know where they get their information.

If

This is Mr. If I. Onlee......I used modge podge to put the punkin on his shirt, that stuff is so much fun but use the glitter sparingly, it doesn't come off like when you use the sealer.

Morning Glory

Of all the flower names, I like this one best, glory be! It finally blooms!

Also one of my little yard.

What boggles me (that's easy to do) this morning with my coffee, I read that "a rocky earth like planet found outside our solar system is in ""our general neighborhood""--circling a star in the winter sky about 500 light years away. Each light year is about 6 trillion miles. (and something like 3600 degrees farenheit). " From USA Today.

Well, glory be!

Lunch at Kate's

Jackie at Kate's.....
It's a fun place to go especially with a friend. If you go on Saturday you have to wait in line for breakfast, but if you wait for a late lunch, your choice of homemade pies to-go is limited. Most everyone takes a pie home (see above). We also split a piece of lemon meringue.

It's on Huron River Drive in Flat Rock, call me anytime and we'll go.

For Halloween and Fall

I'm hoping to be finished next week with my Halloween offerings. No, I didn't make the sunflowers, but Someone did.

My-Own-Person-of-the-Week is Isaac, who is now a Certified Personal Trainer. My scanner isn't working so I don't have a picture of him. He has worked hard and we are all proud of him.

Visit-the-Farm Blog..NEW

When we were at The Farm last October this was their Mexican Sage. I am trying it this year with a plant I bought when we were there in July, but I think it needs warm weather which we haven't had.

I hope you will check out their NEW blog---www.visit-the-farm.blogspot.com. Kynda has been posting some of their beautiful things. Can't wait for the fall pictures.

Sun Dills

These are my pickles I made from a recipe from a post on Old Centennial Farmhouse. I had to buy the cucumbers as my crop failed this year. I followed the directions and set them in the sun yesterday. Today it has rained all day. They are supposed to be "dills" in a week, so this will be interesting. I also had to buy dill but if these are good, I will have my own next year. Check out her blog, it is very interesting, and she has some beautiful Michigan pictures.

Pat Beam Design for Halloween

I use a lot of patterns by Pat Beam to make my little friends. This one is at the Town Peddler, and I'm wondering if they are open today, but hoping that everyone there is having some time off.

I have left some little scrappy tags at the mall with my blog address and I know some of my customers are looking at the pictures here, just remember you don't have to buy to like it and you don't have to have a blog to comment, so I would really like some of your input. Thanks to those of you who do. Hope your day is super!

Garden Surprise

Early in the spring I trim the sedums down so they will be full in the fall. I just leave the trimmings wherever they drop. Yesterday I was cleaning up a bit and found these little trimmings happily blooming after all summer just lying there. So I thought they deserved some water and some little containers. Actually I think they ought to have a shout-out. Happy Wednesday.
