If you don't like succulents, just skip over this post. I have never posted this many pictures before, but each one has something I like.
All lined up, stand up straight now guys and get your picture taken.
We like the way she takes little containers and makes them special.
Oops, how did this get in there. My girls, only half a smile from PJ.
I only took pictures of the succulents. I also got a "Love Lies Bleeding" packet as mine didn't come up this year. And a purple tomato plant!
...pictures of children and things I make for those of us who never grow up, and plants I grow in my little garden......

Age
Last week was my birthday week. I had a visit from Kynda (Canada Garden) my Springfield daughter, lots of coffee time and gardening talk and even a movie, along with visits from my other kids, TWO birthday cakes, and this sweet little greeting from my GGs in Kentucky that I just loved!
We had lots of good food at PJ's and Jeff's and tried out some low-carb recipes which are working so well for part of this family. See www.canandagarden.blogspot.com, if you are interested.
I had jotted down this, a quote attributed to Prince, so I thought I would pass it on.
"I don't believe in age. When you wake up each day looks the same so each day should be a new beginning. I don't have an expiration date."
P. S. I am chugging along now into my "early eighties"...only 81! Love to all.

Well dressed, I guess
New squirrel on Fleming Street has us all chuckling. He looks like he is wearing pajamas or a hula skirt. He needs a lei. He is black and sleek front part and fuzzy red-brown at the back.
Some of us think it might be the result of eating too much pizza.

June
My favorite iris is Beverly Sills.
My favorite rose is this one because I rooted it myself from a cutting (twice) like my grandmother did it. Put a quart jar over it.
I have a plan for reading even though it is hard to come in from the garden. When you get really hot and sweaty, come inside for a break and read a little. This was an audio book I have waited seems like forever to get from the library. It is the sweetest story and the reader was George Newbern, who was on Scandal, Friends and CSI . He reads well but I don't remember seeing him as an actor.
Ove is a cranky and bitter man after he loses his wife. She was the only one who ever understood him.
He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse but behind him is a story and sadness. He doesn't want people in his life but people keep barging in and he can't escape their needs. It is a warm and funny story of love, with a happy but tearful ending. I think anyone would like it.
