My Stu-dee-ooo, ha ha

This is it, warts and all, 1/2 of a small bedroom.  I was just in Joann fabrics and you know how you have to wait in line forever and forever?  I don't really mind because I get to look at all the expensive magazines they have in the "waiting forever" line.  I picked up a copy of Where Women Create and although I am so happy that the real artists have those wonderful places I am sure not too many of us would make the next issue. Would you have the nerve to show your work space?  I dare ya!
This corner has an apron I made from a pillowcase and a turkey that didn't sell, a doll quilt and a topsy turvey doll that my mom made.  The cabinet and blackboard came from the Dirt Diva booth at Town Peddler.  My SIL Jeff looked at the cabinet and said "seriously???"  The kleenex box was from the resale place, even tho some say you wouldn't want to buy upholstered furniture there.
My old Kenmore is about 30 years old.  The little cubbie I got from the Dirt Divas also and the thread holder from a fellow Lindbergh crafter years and years ago.
PJ redid this cabinet in chalk paint.  It came from my neighbor Gail.  The box on the top is full of letters written by my mother and grandmother and friends from long ago.

The jars are full of buttons, the egg boxes are vintage (ya can't get them anymore).  Jackie gave me them.  There's a mop and broom and some bears I made that didn't sell.   The picture is of some 40's ladies "talking sewing".  Well that's about it....are you inspired yet????

I almost had Coke come out my nose when I saw the 'upholstered furntiture' you were talking about. LOL

My sewing machine is 40 years old, and I still call it the 'new' one. I know its exact age, because my mother had to buy it when her old one broke down making the dresses for my wedding, and she had too many to do to wait for repairs on the old one. :) Incidentally, she gave me the old one after it was repaired, and I loved it, why did I ever let it go?!

I love your space. And, no, I don't have the nerve to show mine, even if you triple-dog dared me! Maybe someday.

Well I think your stu-dee-ooo looks pretty darn good. Mine isn't a total disaster right now so I wouldn't be too embarrassed showing it but there are times when it's pretty pitiful. I have craft room envy when I see those big huge totally organized spaces they show in magazines

I'm mostly known as 'MA' said...

I used to have a similar room. I called it the craft room and every nook and cranny was filled. A few years a go I decided to make it into a spare bedroom so everything haphazardly got moved to the attic. There it all sits just the way it was taken up and being creative isn't very easy that way. Now I'm having to sort it all out and that's no fun either. I have way too much stuff and some of it's going to have to go. It's a challenge for sure.

I hope this finds you and yours doing well. May we display your header on our new site directory? As it is now, the site title (linked back to its home page) is listed, and we think displaying the header will attract more attention. In any event, we hope you will come by and see what is going on at SiteHoundSniffs.com.

I think your studio is just terrific. So many wonderful things to look at and admire. Wish I would get into making things. I used to do it but not all the cats take up most of my time. Thanks so much for visiting our blog.
