A new book at the Library network. Very good read!
Hang in there everyone!
I bought this dress at the Farm and waited for something to come along to wear it. Yesterday I thought it was time to garden, today...not so much. Happy day everyone.
...pictures of children and things I make for those of us who never grow up, and plants I grow in my little garden......

Mildred, Alma, Neen and Peggy collaboration
A few days ago I posted a picture of a baby dress that belonged to Mildred Giles which was passed down to her daughter, Alma, who passed it down to my friend Neen.
Neen wanted to do something nice with the dress to remember her wonderful friend Alma, so she
asked that I offer it for sale to benefit the Walk for Diabetes fund that her family participates in every year.
I hope my decision to make a doll to wear the dress was the right one, so we will see. Except for adding some ribbons to the bonnet that she holds, I didn't make any changes. I made her slip and pantaloons from some soft vintage fabric.and there is a little scrap of lace that I added to her hair. I will be taking her to Town Peddler for their Spring Open House this week.
I hope your Sunday is much blessed. My whole week has certainly been, things have gone well. Love to everyone.

Lisa's Keto Lasagna
I love handwritten recipes. This one was originally on Pinterest but Lisa has made it several times and wrote this out from memory. We love it and you wouldn't even know it is absent the noodles.
The Wednesday Wind was tremendous here, 800,000 people were said to be without power. I was lucky to have mine. Schools are closed and traffic lights out. Scary. Much better this morning.

Crochet for Diabetes
My friend Neen crochets sweet little baby shoes and crowns that I sell for her at my booth at Town Peddler. She also raffles an afgan at family reunions which also helps out her fund.
At the end of the year, her whole family participates in the annual Walk for Diabetes .Last year our fund was $500 and we were really proud. Several in her family have diabetes and she has lost a grandson to this terrible illness. I also have many friends who struggle with it.
The pictures of the little baby dress is her latest contribution. It came to her from a dear friend and it belonged to her mother. You can see her name and date on the cute little tag. I will be taking it to Town Peddler soon but have delayed because of showing it to everyone. It has some stains along the hemline from age but it is just so pretty. The little buttons and hand embroidery and the lace on the bonnet are just perfect. I know that Alma would love seeing her mother's dress on the internet. Alma was a loving friend to Neen.
I was thinking I would have loved to have a picture of baby Mildred in her dress and bonnet. I'm also thinking it will be hard to part with.
We have had a windy, windy March 1st. It did come in like a lion. Love from Michigan.
