Last time he came to visit us, My sweet grandson, Jake and the beautiful girl in the blue dress is Skyler. Happy Birthday Jake! I am so proud of you.

That's what her book says. I don't think she likes me tho, I had to change things all afternoon before it suited her.. She still doesn't like those pants.

This body pattern is Veena's Mercantile, she is very large, I would say 30 inches.

We had storms again during the early morning hours. I seem to be obsessed with the weather. PJ is calling me Chuck (a TV weatherman name). Bizarre lightening and thunder.

Tall and Handsome....

Every year I post this plant and everyone gives their opinion of what it is. This year it is 10 feet tall, so if I have any new visitors, maybe they have a name for it also.

We had a big, big rain. Ann Arbor, five inches! Sadly I lost my biggest fish last night, he got stuck in the drain, and yes I did fish cpr but I guess it was just too late.

My garden is a happy one this morning. Hope you are too!

New-to-me flowers

Love-in-a-mist: can't believe I never tried it before, I'm hoping it self-seeds.

Strawberry Spinach. I ordered the seed from Pinetree Farms. It just sounded interesting. I haven't eaten any, as it is kind of puny. I think it's just decorative.

Hey, a new cat. She's really big. It's a Pat Beam bunny pattern, turned cat. Happy Wednesday everyone.

More Garden....

It was so quiet and still this morning. We were given another nice rain during the night.

This tomato is a "Legend". At Graye's Greenhouse there was a note that it was the most requested tomato plant last year. Of course we have to have what everyone else does.
We will have to wait and see how they taste.

Another "corn" plant tropical. This one is a popcorn plant. Doesn't look exactly like popcorn but smells like MJR theater lobby (not that their popcorn is good, but it does smell that way).

I was browsing USA Today news, many tragedies this week, and I read this article about the Amish. If you have time, it is a good read for Sunday morning.

Candy Corn Plant

A gifted plant that Barb thought we would like. Mine is doing really well, except it is to the top of the stake and I think, what now? I looked it up and it is a tropical so I thought I might bring it in for the winter and try to save it. I think I would plant it in the garden with a larger trellis as I think it would get much bigger. It's a nice plant to have, if you see one at the garden center. Happy Saturday!

Got Pumpkins?

We had a wonderful rain this afternoon and my pumpkins are doing nicely even though it has been so hot.

I have lots of Baby boos (white) only a few Mini Jacks, I gave most of those plants away. One called Bat Wings and Orange Magic. They are all small.

The angel lady is from a pattern by Bless Your Heart Country Crafts. She has alpine wool hair and pants from an old pillow case that was almost threadbare, but had the prettiest crochet trim. Funny face and funny feet she has. Happy Friday all..
