Shelf Sitter

I don't think this is a very good name for this sort of doll, but that's what they are called, this is my own creation, no pattern used, and you are welcome to improve upon it.

In my neighborhood

Here's a person who is serious about decorating for Easter. It was windy and snowy and some of the things had blown over, still....

Not Eggs-actly

Not eggs-actly as beautiful as Sandra's, but I had fun making them. If you would like to make some, go to her blog, www.inthissmallhouse.blogspot.com, and look at her March 21st tutorial. Thank you Sandra, loving your blog!

Big Ann

I made her collar from a piece of old quilt. Not a scrap of those goes to waste. And I don't cut them up until they are tatters and then some. My mother once asked me why I didn't use the quilt that she and Mama King made, and I said I was saving it. She said "for what?". I have used it ever since.

Thursday NHS Ceremony

We are all so proud of Rebecca for her good grades; and here she is with friends at the National Honor Society ceremony at her school. (Second from left with the cute shoes and outfit and a new hair style which we really liked.)We are blessed, she is a good person, daughter, sister and granddaughter (and she READS). Everyone looked so happy and there were so many joining, I think the future is in good hands.

How Neat Is This?

What do you call it? A Counter-Cabinet? At any rate, do you suppose I could get it out to the car and she wouldn't miss it?

Friday at Waltz

Taking a break and going to visit Mack at PJ and Jeff's, I am hoping to get to sit on the porch. This is how I wish it would look, but I don't think it will, today anyway.

Artful Bra Project

In case you missed the Artful Bra Project (for Breast Cancer) on Kynda's blog, (www.canadagarden.blogspot.com) here are our two favorites. Mine is the button one and her favorite was Monkey Business. These are South Carolina, someone should do one in Michigan, any volunteers?

Thursday's Cat

Moonchild's primitives is so nice to offer freebie patterns. This is one of them, check out her website. I just joined her Primitive Witch Club, (we only make things, don't cast any spells) And she's from Paducah!

Wednesday's Kat

Another goofball Kat, look at the print on the little quilt pocket. I think it is a victorian lady in a hat, anyway I only had some scraps of it, it is probably from the 40's. Have a nice warm day.

Just for You

Happy Birthday, Kynda. Last night I was looking through old pictures for one to post on your birthday, most every one I liked included flowers of course.

Also I was looking through the "Mr. Rogers" book for something to write that would describe you and this is it....

"I hope you're proud of yourself for the times you've said "yes" when all it meant was extra work for you and was seemingly helpful only to somebody else."

I love you. And I wish you a happy birthday and a Cracker Barrel lunch!

Library Monday

This little book has picked me to read it. I will inform you if I find something I think you should know. It says in the introduction, "...reading this book will make you smarter, and smart people always make better kissers." This should be fun.
