Monday's flower is Leopard's Bane, named because it was thought to be poisonous to all animals. Blooms early spring and then retires until the next spring, that's contentment.
Pastor Dave spoke this week about dissatisfaction ..way back with Eve. Sometimes we don't recognize perfect when we have it. Back in 2007 I wrote a corny poem about Eve and some day I will post it on a day I am feeling ridiculous.
He read 1 Timothy 6 and 7. "But Godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world and we can take nothing out of it."
I'm adding this one --Phillipians 4, 11 and 12. "....for I have learned to be content, whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through Him who gives me strength."
