Contentment.....

Mother's Day gift, you would have to know me to understand...or maybe not.

"When your mother asks if you want a piece of advice, it is a mere formality.
It doesn't matter if you answer yes or no, you're going to get it anyway."

Charlie's team lined up and no so happy with second place. I was happy with their good effort. Charlie is in the black pants!

I think I would be content if I had these guys' job. I wonder if they get to have lunch at the Mexican restaurants? A happy Detroit picture.

Monday's flower is Leopard's Bane, named because it was thought to be poisonous to all animals. Blooms early spring and then retires until the next spring, that's contentment.

Pastor Dave spoke this week about dissatisfaction ..way back with Eve. Sometimes we don't recognize perfect when we have it. Back in 2007 I wrote a corny poem about Eve and some day I will post it on a day I am feeling ridiculous.

He read 1 Timothy 6 and 7. "But Godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world and we can take nothing out of it."

I'm adding this one --Phillipians 4, 11 and 12. "....for I have learned to be content, whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through Him who gives me strength."

If I had to name my favorite candy bar it would be an AlmondJoy too. I am so trying to be contented with everything in my life right now. I had thought it almost perfect then was in a car accident yesterday, no one was hurt but now I'm with out a car. It had to be towed away and the bad thing was it was my fault. I didn't see the other guy coming. Thankfully one of my son's is running errands for me and Weds. I leave for 4 days to visit another son. Hope your Monday is a great one there at your house!

I was born on Elvis' 16th birthday. That has always been special.
I love the Almond Joy, yummy stuff. No mystery for me.
I know contentment. Been around too long to know any less.

Oh Peggy Sweetie...
You are a gal after my own heart. I too love Almond Joy (my favorite) and of course Elvis, well is there anyone out there that didn't love him? Momma always wanted one of his sweat rags when he would throw them out in the audience. She adored him as well. Wonderful contentment.

We have men on horseback here in Phoenix at the holidays they patrol the parking lots to make it safe to be out and shopping. How fun it is to see them out and about. We have plenty of wonderful Mexican restaurants out here in Phoenix, you stop out here one day and I will take you to one close by. It is wonderful.
