Centaurea Macrocephala

I keep having to look up the name of this plant, maybe this post will help me remember.
It is one of my favorite plants. This is how it looked early June.

It began to bloom about two weeks later, mid June.

It is now on its way out but still really pretty. One year I dried some of them and they held up really well. Doesn't seem to need any special care, it is about four feet tall. Barb gave me a start of it.

How's your Saturday? Stay cool.

That's a very cool plant...I might have to try tracking some of it down...If it grows in Michigan, it just might grow in Nod. ;o) Do know what its common name might be? Have a wonderful Saturday! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

I'd never seen this sunny flower before...and you are the second blogger I've seen post it this week, Peggy. I think the common name for ot is Bighead Knapweed!
