Little Projects......

I hope you do not have dry eyes but computer screens, tv screens etc. cause an increasingly common condition known as meibomian gland dysfunction, the oil producing glands in the eyelids fail to secrete enough oil to prevent tears from evaporating too quickly, and this results in burning, painful eyes.  (I got this from my eye Dr. Yu).

Heat treatment is good so I made these little rice baggies to heat in the microwave and use as a heat pack for 5-20 minutes.  About a half cup of rice in them.  It also helps to follow with lid-scrubs to express the softened oil from icky clogged glands after you use them.  I just use baby shampoo and water and a q-tip.  Close your eye and scrub and rinse.  Feels very good, after too much  blogging,  facebook and pinterest .

Yesterday was the last day for my 50% off coupon at Value World .  I bought this little sofa-kleenex-box-cover and this is what I did with it.  80 cents of fun!

Happy Thursday everyone!

Lots of people do suffer with that dry eye thing. Sometimes I think I may have it so I thank you for the tips today. I love the little sofa and how you have used it. A little bling is like eye candy for sure! Hope your Thursday is a wonderful one!

The sofa idea is so cute. I may have to make one for Emma(granddaughter) while she is here.
Hope all of you are doing well. Smiles, Susie(She Junks)

Yes, you are very creative,Peggy. Those are so cute. Your next step will be prescription restasis...very expensive so i hope you have good insurance.
Did you keep our GG son today?

I have the same problem with my eyes and the same dr's advice..warm compress twice a day..baby shampoo...don's sleep with a fan...I use Systane drops..I keep it by my bed and it's the first thing I do before getting out of bed.
These little bags are so cute..and all the little things the dr said to do will work..I tried skipping the baby shampoo and had to go back to using it.
I am also on a low dose antibiotic to reduce inflammation caused by bacteria..it's a lot cheaper than Restasis.
