Did you know???? There is a whole magazine that cost $14.99 called "Where Women Create". I have taken a look through a couple of them and the pictures are just gorgeous. My thought is, doesn't it take all their sewing time to keep it looking that way?
I prefer something like this, where everything has its place and you know exactly where to find it. Or Not!
Jackie's cheerleaders in her work place. Sock monkey smiles!
A sock-monkey smile for you too my friends. Have a safe and happy holiday this weekend.

Busy Bee....
My daughter PJ is getting to be a nag. She says I am behind on my blog, when she knows I am making salsa.
So far it's going well, although I would rather be out in the garden. A couple of days ago I found a website of Steve Wheen, who does pothole gardens. The pictures are mostly England but some from New York. I think he should move to Michigan where he would never run out of potholes.
Go to www.thepotholegardener.com to see his little gardens.

Kynda's Pineapple Tomato....
These are delicious tomatoes and beautiful when cut. They are just now getting their groove on. It seems the best-tasting tomatoes need to have the top third cut away, like the Cherokee Purple and Pink Brandywine. I think they are worth it however.
It's a perfect day today weatherwise, but I was up briefly at 5 and there was lightening in the East way beyond a sky-full of the most beautiful stars that we don't often get to see. I watched awhile then went back for more sleep. Have a happy Tuesday everyone.

Blessed Hope Wednesday....
Lisa (my daughter-in-law) has lots of green beans so I am making a big pot for our monthly dinner at Blessed Hope Church.
My friends from church probably won't know what this is, but green beans ain't the same without some jowl (pronounced jole) bacon to season them.
This is Blessed Hope on Fort Street. They have a little garden out by the parking area. They serve two meals a day and many other services to benefit those who need a little help.
I am using the new blogger this morning, about time I guess. I am always the last to change, but I see I have to do some study on it.
Have a beautiful Wednesday and wouldn't it be nice if there were cornbread to go with the beans?

Garden Tuesday
The Joe Pye and Coneflowers teamed up . Can we be together forever?
The volunteer Black Knight likes my little new path of Gail's rocks. My aching back, not so much.
I am fascinated with the broom corn. It was wet this morning. We had a nice rain.
Botanical Interests seeds. My favorite sunflower ever!
Cock's Comb, my grandmother called these. We never had them but after I moved here, saw them being sold by the Amish in Shipshewana and then a few years ago a patch at Gail's, The Farm. Had to grow some. These are in pots.
Next to family pictures, I like garden pictures. Love from Michigan.

Miss Turkey
This is my spin on a Raven's Haven pattern entitled Gilbert. The Gilbert pattern is a primitive turkey in a black hat, all tea dyed, very prim. Since I made Gilbert last year, I thought I would make his girlfriend this year.
I recently told a blogger friend I may have been cruel when I added the little pillow. I keep thinking it should read "be thankful you are not a turkey". At least at Thanksgiving.
I made her a little bonnet and gave her some feminine touches.
Thanks everyone for liking my little "petunia" car. It was not my original idea, as I have very few of those, and I probably saw it somewhere out there and stored it in my filter space. I just never had any big petunia planter before, so thanks again Kynda for sending these from Flowers on the Avenue in Allen Park. Happy Saturday.
