Some new books....

I was reading Sandcastle Girls by Chris B. when Rebecca brought me the new Hosseini book. Then I returned a movie at the library and they had the other one for me.  I sat down and read the first chapter while John colored a picture and haven't been able to leave it alone since then.  So much for the sewing I intended to do.

The rain has gone away now and the sun is shining, everything is growing and the Michigan crop of corn is just in.  I am so happy for the farmers this year, their crops are going to be abundant.  Happy Saturday everyone.

Same in PA. There has been so much rain that everyone's gardens are overflowing!

It finally stopped raining here too and we've enjoyed 3 days of dry sunny weather here now. The farmers here say they are ok now if it drys out for awhile. I had my first taste of fresh veggies this week. The corn was delicious! Hope you have a super Saturday!

I always enjoy when blog friends share what they are reading.

Have a blessed Sunday.

Finding a good book you can't put down is a gift - noticed things growing early on this year - another gift! ~*~Lisa

Peggy, I love a book that I would hate to put down. Good that you found one. I need one for this winter..I am going to start reading again like I used too. My daughter makes sure she reads a book or two over summer. Hope you are staying cool. xoxo,Susie
