Ann and Eva go to the Quilt Show

These two girls are ready to go.  If you are local, check out the poster on my sidebar, or go here to visit their facebook page.
I planted several kale plants this year.  They are small but pretty and new to me.  I think they should be larger but you can't judge  because of the weird summer  weather we have had.  Maybe someone will have some "growing kale" tips for me.  Happy Monday, it's such a beautiful day.

P.S. I think I really like the new blogger interface.  Just took some patience, which I have little of.

Happy Saturday

Every one deserved a picture but there were so many it was hard to take it all in. Barb is taking care of my table today so I can be with the visiting grandsons, Jacob and Jordan.
This was a memorial poster for one of the church quilters that I remember.
This one would have been my mother (Emma's) favorite.
And one of these would have been Mammy's favorite.
Walking into the sanctuary...also there were two other sections also. They awarded Best of Show in several categories, which were beautiful, but my favorites are always the time-worn ones of our grandmothers and beyond. Because they have a story, of course.
