Old Embroidery
I really am still around and working but many things are left undone in the good old summertime. I look for ways to recycle and appreciate old needlework and these little angels designed by Pat Beam seem to like dressing in vintage. The embroidery thread hair is my own idea, I hope they like that too.
My neighbors are having a garage sale this morning and it is calling to me. Then I'm off to doggie sitting with Rosie and Joy. I hope to catch up with everyone next week. Please have a blessed and happy weekend.

Let me know if you see Elvis over at that garage sale.
These are beautiful; such a creative use for old embroidery pieces!

yes, if you see Elvis, let us know. he and I share a birthday, though I am much younger than he!
I have a few pieces of old embroidery but still use them occasionally. I like the angels with their finely stitched dresses. What a wonderful idea! Enjoy your dog sitting. Not a bad way to spend the day at all.
thanks for stopping by, Peggy.
yes I did the stitching. I have several different ones. my favorite right now is the one I made for hubby for Christmas.
"You may not be perfect, but you are perfect for me." put it in an oval frame and stitched some vines above and below.
I love cross stitch and embroidery-the real fancy stuff-and I love the prim looking stuff. gotta always keep my hands and mind busy......
