I happened upon this during my third- cup- of- coffee time this morning. You can read it if you like ...... go to http://www.herbsandoilsworld.com/how-to-grow-roses-from-cuttings/.
My grandmother just put the cutting in the dirt and placed a canning jar over and waited. (We called them "fruit" jars). I have rooted several with her method. Have a happy day.

Peggy, Did you cut the ends any certain way?? I would love to try this. When I read growing roses and saw the potatoes, I laughed.
Thanks for visiting this morning. I love the name Emma. :):) Enjoy your week. xoxo,Susie
My grandmother did the same with her roses and the fruit jars. I've never seen one grow by using potatoes. Hoping you have a terrific Tuesday!
I love these types of tips passed down thru the ages - would love to try this year, thanks Peggy ~*~Lisa
Wow, how interesting and easy, love the easy tips...thanks, Francine.
Wonder if it works for forsythia or lilacs? That is the neatest idea yet! Thank you for sharing. That 3rd cup was very helpful!
Thanks so much!
Oh those grandmas were smart weren't they? This is really neat.
