Directly behind my garden there is a chain link fence between our yards. We have passed our garden vegetables over this fence for more than 30 years. Midge died early this morning.
A few weeks ago I made fried green tomatoes for us and we watched the Tigers game on TV. She was a faithful fan of all the sports. Charlie liked to go over to see her and would go with me when I was going. She always had candy for us. Good neighbors are a treasure. I will really miss her.
I hope you have a good Saturday, it looks like rain, which we need. And Jordan is on his way back from Iraq!

I am so sorry about Midge. My neighbor was Delsie. She was the first one to welcome my family into our neighborhood. We spent so many hours together sitting on her porch. She showed me how to make Welsh cookies. Her and her husband loved my daughters and treated them like their own.
I can't look over at their house and not think of them. I know how much you will miss them even years from now.
Enjoy your memories ~ Lucy
Hard to lose good friends. Sorry.
My condolences to you and your family on the loss of a great friend and neighbor.
It is wonderful news that so many of our boys are now on their way home. I sure keep praying for them all. Bring them home safely dear Lord. Sorry to hear the news of your neighbor. Good ones are hard to find and I know you will be missing her.
